What happens when Bees get lost???? :O And since no-one ever bothered telling me from my signature I am posting The question in my journal... :angered:

The scenario...
You catch a bee in a jar, and you take it far away. (because it was obviously close to its hive in the first place )
Now you set it free... :O_o:

Does it:
A) Fly somewhere in search of its own hive? :P
B) Just join a new hive? :bleh:
or
C) Commit suicide... sting someone, and die? :bug:

Please let me know what you think.

I promise I wont try and anylise your lives by the answer. This question just really facinates me and I would love to hear your opinion. :blahblah:

I know I can just go out and research it or even google it. :bored: I prefer this way. Its what is best....

D) Become a cult leader to a mass sucide of bees once they are all gone take over there hive as your own... muhahaha. :P

Hey I saw you dropped by my page :wave: I grew up in Pretoria. :D

Bees huh? Well I think if it's a single bee that gets lost, it will starve to death. They need the hive working together to make honey..which is it's food. Yes bees collect nectar from flowers but they transport it back to the hive and use nectar to make honey.

If you separate a group of bees from the hive and queen..then one of the worker bees changes into a new queen and a new colony is formed. :D

I must go to Cape Town once I'm back, the closest I've been is Plettenberg bay is actually miles away.lol

I awas actually born in Ermelo, yes I know it's a one horse town ;) or it used to be. However all I remember is growing up in Pretoria. I miss those Jakaranda trees. :D It's still relatively safe when compared to Jo'burg and Cape Town, so my brother and sister tell me. They still live there, my sister in Pretoria West and brother in Gezina.

I think its pretty safe here. I really love the jakaranda's. Its slipperty, aka dangerous, but oh so pretty.
